Besides conserving the eco-system and to gain knowledge of a largely unknown and extraordinary species of shark there’s a great importance to nurture one’s environment so that future generations enjoy the opulent nature around the world. "Extinct is Forever!"
The Maldives Whale Shark Research Programme exist through generous donations and sponsorship from a number of private donors.

Volunteer
Join the Maldives Whale Shark Research Programme team in the Maldives and enjoy free-diving with these endangered sharks. Carry out every aspect of the research involved including swimming, photographing, and measuring the whale sharks, taking part in community workshops, guest trips and presentations as well as updating the MWSRP database of 130 whale sharks.
